The attorneys of Holden & Campbell, Frank Campbell, Michael Lehr, Kiernan Waters, and MaKayla Hanington, recently attended The 52nd Annual Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning.
As the leading and largest conference for estate planning professionals, the Heckerling Institute on Estate Planning provides unparalleled educational and professional development opportunities. In addition to traditional estate planning topics, the 52nd Institute also examined the recent Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and other significant developments of 2017, the impact of emerging technological developments, the increasing significance of international planning issues, and the continued importance of income tax and basis planning. Speakers included Trevor Potter, former Commissioner and Chairman of the Federal Election Commission, Natalie Choate, distinguished expert on retirement benefits (pictured below), and Robert Sitkoff, the youngest Harvard Law School professor with tenure to receive a chair in the history of the school.
It was a very educational week and we look forward to using the knowledge gained at Heckerling to improve our practice and benefit our clients.
